Barf Bag or: How I Met My Husband

  • February 11, 2009 at 6:16 pm

Today is my wedding anniversary.

Flashback

I had moved back in with my parents. They lived in a nowhere suburb. Nothing but single family homes with parents and kids. No single guys or any singles at all. No way to get anywhere except to drive and driving terrified me. Plus I wasn’t someone who would go to a singles group online or off. In desperation, Continue reading ‘Barf Bag or: How I Met My Husband’

HP Mini 1000

I bought the black version of Molly Wood’s famous Vivienne Tam netbook. I am in no way a tech writer, but a lot of people asked how I liked it and wanted pictures.

What I wanted was a thin, small, light, netbook that I could put in my purse and carry with me. Continue reading ‘My HP Mini 1000′

Gadgettes

After eye surgery in December 2007, I had to lie down flat for five days. I would be unable to use the computer, read or watch tv, so I went looking for a fun podcast to load on my iPod. There was a CNET podcast called Gadgettes, with Molly Wood and Kelly Morrison. I’d never really listened to it, but it seemed like fun, so I downloaded all of the episodes. WatchBOL and Me – My Life In #CNETFans

  • January 15, 2009 at 2:49 pm

Sometimes my mind wandered when there was a story I wasn’t too interested in, but the hosts were fun so I kept listening. In February-March 2008 they referred to a chat room on a site called WatchBOL created by someone named pb30. Continue reading ‘WatchBOL and Me – My Life In #CNETFans’

One day in early December, a very friendly and welcoming lady on WyldRyde PMed to tell me about a very nice man who’d been around WyldRyde for years. He was shortly to play Santa. She invited me to the #santa channel and introduced me as another possible “elf” helper. Continue reading ‘Santa’

Eight Days

  • December 27, 2008 at 11:00 pm

I’ve wanted to start a blog for a while. Every social site seems to have a field called ‘your blog’ and nearly everyone I know online has one. I also wanted an online presence that did not entail posting my business site complete with last name, phone number and location. Continue reading ‘Eight Days’
